add  to exchange gal
Is there a way in exchange 2003 to add email addresses to the GAL for users that are in a different domain? I am trying to add email addresses to the GAL so users can select them when they want to email someone that does not have an account on that domain. How can I get a listing to show with email addresses that the users can select without manually having to type the email address?

Hi Jim666, I suggest you create mail-enable contact for your outside user. Mail contact are mail-enabled active directory service objects that contain information about people or organizations that exist outside your exchange organization and can be displayed in the GAL and other address lists. Please take the following procedures : 1. Open “active directory users and Computers” 2. In the console tree, expand the domain. Right-click the folder that will contain the new mail-enabled contact, point to New, and the click Contact. 3. Fill the information which system require. 4. Verify that the “Create an Exchange e-mail address” check box is selected and click “modify” 5. In the new E-mail Address dialog box, select an e-mail address type, and then click Ok and next. Then you can take a look in your GAL to check the user information. By the way, if you would like to synchronize cross-forest domain user to GAL, MIIS should be consider. You can get detail information from : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc720552(WS.10).aspx
